Christmas Season - Concerts, Weddings, Parties, Stress
Wow busy-busyhan ako!!!! I can feel the excitement and stress that the Christmas season never fails to bring. There is no exemption here in the Southern tip of Luzon.
Hahaha! So what’s the effect? Eh di madaming kita! What’s the side effect? Pumutok ang banko ko! My gosh! Ang sama sa loob kasi I just lacked 300 pesos sa pondo ko and I was charged 1,800!!! Is that for real???!!!
My gosh sumasabay sila sa Xmas rush! Eh may I give to them naman kasi kaawa di ba? Plus, malay mo pambili nila ng gift un sakin…bwahahah! Asa ba ko? =) Ala pa kong ipon for their 13th month pay! Suicide!
But of course if there are stressful events, meron din sobrang exciting like the upcoming Silver Wedding of the Century (exagg!!!) of my dear parents. Picture this, formal gathering for adults only, Grecian theme with the entourage wearing Greek goddesses inspired gowns. I am definitely gonna wear one. Imagine a preggy and bloating Athena or a fat Aphrodite emceeing for the reception. Bakit ako pa ang emcee? Why not?! Eh kasi po the emcees available were very expensive. 6,000!!!! While I do it for free. I was the last choice. But I’ll make sure they won’t regret =) All the sisters of both my parents are gonna wear equally elegant gowns at very low prices (thanks to Divisoria). The gentleman will look best in their coat and ties/ mess jackets. Everybody who have been part of our parents’ life are going to be there. Bongga ba? But my mom claims she never really spent more than necessary for this occasion. And I believe her! With the kind-hearted sponsors that they have, most things were taken cared of without my parents really asking for it. Maybe this goes to show how loved they are by the people whose lives they have touched for 25 years of being together…awwww….idol ko talaga sila. They’re not perfect but they inspire me and my husband. (well, in more ways than one)
And then there’s the Orange and Lemons Pinoy Ako Concert Series on Dec 13 here at Sorsogon City. This one’s more exciting than the Kitchie Nadal/Barbie Concert since I invested my money here. Ooohhhoooo….I really hope we have good ticket sales even without the bakasyonistas. The last concert was a blast. Hope this one’s even better. Although I won’t really watch the concert. Sad noh. Just found out the other day that baby isn’t holding that tight in my tummy and I had to drink meds to keep him/her still. Gusto na lumabas ng baby ko! Ang liit-liit pa niya. I was even advised particularly not to tire myself shopping! Haay, so nabawasan ang things to look forward to during my trip to Manila this Wednesday. And I had to take the plane to and from Manila. Talk about gastos. But all these I can live with if only for my baby. Kaya baby, hold on tight. We only have 4 months to go before you finally meet your awesome parents. Hekhek. I don’t sound nervous noh? But I am. I really am. My husband and I both are. Remember when I told you that the doctor told me that I was kinda lucky I got pregnant right away? That’s because one of my ovaries is polycystic. And I am sad and really scared for this baby coz this might be our only chance to have an heir/ess (asus!). I need prayers…lots of it.
And there’s the influx of customers and events that need to be catered to. Children’s parties, christening, weddings, seminars, meetings, etc. Nice kasi this means income pero toxic. How I wish I could attend seminars on catering and save up to renovate the place coz it’s really really old. I even intend to learn flower arrangements and balloon arrangements etc. You know, let Sorsoganons experience first class catering, the way they do it in Manila. But in fairness, I actually attended my niece’s 3rd bday party last Dec 1 and the one who decorated the place really did a great job. The old rickety and paint-peeled venue was transformed to a balloon-filled playground for the kids. If only I can do it myself. Soon! Ahhh…lots of plans…
Ang haba! Tagal ko kasi hindi nagkuwento eh. Next time ulit if there’s anything exciting going on in my life again, I’d be more than happy to share it with you =) When u read this comment kau ha so I’ll know somebody’s reading my story at ganahan ako.
Advance Merry Xmas!!!!!
